Privacy Policy

BLOW AI ("we", "our", or "the app") is a BAC (blood alcohol content) estimation tool for iOS. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Information We Collect

All personal data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. We do not operate user accounts or a database of personal information.

The following data is stored only on your device:

• Profile information you enter: biological sex, age, weight, height, activity level, diet type, medication flags
• Drink entries you log during a session (drink type, volume, ABV, time)
• BAC estimates calculated from your inputs
• Session history

2. Camera and Photo Library

BLOW AI may request access to your camera and photo library solely to scan drink labels or barcodes so the app can pre-fill drink details. Camera and photo data is processed on-device and is never uploaded to our servers or any third party.

3. AI Insight Feature

When you request an AI-generated insight, the app sends a privacy-bucketed summary to our backend proxy (hosted on Cloudflare Workers), which forwards it to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a response. The data sent is:

• Age in 5-year brackets (e.g. "25–29") — never your exact age or date of birth
• Weight in 10 kg brackets (e.g. "70–79 kg") — never your exact weight
• Biological sex
• Number and type of drinks (e.g. "2 beer, 1 wine") — never drink names or brands
• Rough session duration (e.g. "about 2 hours") — never exact times
• Food level, drive status, and BAC range

No device identifiers, names, email addresses, or precise health metrics are ever included. Your Anthropic API key is stored server-side and is never embedded in the app.

4. Push Notifications

Standard subscribers may receive optional push notifications (BAC check-ins, drive-status changes). Notifications are scheduled locally on your device using iOS's notification system. We do not use third-party push notification services and do not transmit your device token to external servers.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Subscriptions are managed entirely through Apple's App Store and StoreKit. We never see or store your payment information. Apple's privacy policy applies to all purchase transactions: apple.com/legal/privacy

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers. The only data that leaves your device is the privacy-bucketed AI insight request described in Section 3.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

All session history and profile data is stored locally on your device. You can delete all data at any time by deleting the BLOW AI app from your device. Deleting the app permanently removes all associated data.

8. Children's Privacy

BLOW AI is intended for adults of legal drinking age. The app is not directed at individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

9. Health Disclaimer

BAC estimates provided by BLOW AI are approximations only and should never be used to determine whether it is safe to drive or operate machinery. Always follow local laws and exercise personal judgement.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
